Multi-activity stay at Nellim Hotel
Wilderness Hotel Nellim is a cozy and charming retreat nestled in the small village of Nellim, on the shores of Lake Inari, the third-largest lake in Finland. The lake boasts over 3,100 islands, and witnessing its frozen expanse in winter is truly magical.
Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Ivalo
Arrival at Ivalo airport and group transfer to Wilderness Hotel Nellim. Located above the Arctic Circle, Ivalo’s untamed surroundings provide virtually limitless opportunities for nature exploration and outdoor sports.
On arrival, you will be provided with cold-weather clothing.
Dinner and accommodation at Wilderness Hotel Nellim or similar.

Day 2: Husky Safari
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for your husky safari. You will learn how to manoeuvre your sledge and the pack of dogs in your charge. Huskies understand directions and are very receptive. You will then be able to explore the snowy trails and even cross the frozen lake with your dog team.
Dinner and accommodation at Wilderness Hotel Nellim or similar. -
Day 3: Meet the reindeer
Breakfast at the hotel. Today, embark on an adventure to meet the reindeer and their herders while immersing yourself in Sami culture and history. Depart from the hotel and head to the reindeer farm, where the herder will warmly welcome you and invite you into the reindeer paddock. He will share insights about Sami culture, his life, and his daily routine as a reindeer herder. You will then have the chance to feed the reindeer, who will eat directly from your hands.

Day 4: Northern Lights excursion
Breakfast at the hotel. Day at leisure. In the evening, you will take part in a Northern Lights excursion by minibus. Hot drinks will be served during this excursion.

Day 5: Ice fishing and overnight in Aurora Cabin
Breakfast at the hotel. This day will be devoted to ice fishing. In a sledge pulled by a snowmobile, the guide will take you to the lake and find the best place to fish. If you’re lucky, you’ll even get fresh fish for lunch! Lunch will take place around a wood fire (hot drinks included).
In the evening, you’ll settle into your new room: the Aurora Cabin. Sheltered by a glass roof and snug in your bed, you can watch the Northern Lights dance across the sky.
