Discover the charm of northern Norway! You will start your stay in Tromsø, the vibrant capital of the North. You will continue your journey in a camp in the heart of the Lyngen Alps. Follow in the footsteps of famous polar explorers and explore the Arctic landscapes by dog sled and snowmobile. You will end your trip on the beautiful island of Sommarøy.
Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Tromsø
Arrival at Tromsø Airport, transfer* (not included) to the center of Tromsø, the beautiful Arctic city, and check-in at your hotel. The rich history of this city has earned it two nicknames. The first is the “Paris of the North” due to the numerous trade relations with France during the 19th century and the number of cafes and bars. The second is the “Gateway to the Arctic” because for many decades, this city was the heart of Arctic hunting and the starting point for the most legendary expeditions.

*To go from/to the airport to the city/from city center we advise you to take a low carbon emission transfer such as, the airport shuttle ”Flybussen” or an electrical car.

Day 2: Dog sledding
Scandinavian breakfast at the hotel. You will depart in the morning (25-minute transfer) for a dog sledding excursion. Harnessed in pairs per sled (one driver, one passenger), you will traverse magnificent landscapes! If conditions do not allow, you will automatically be seated in the sled. Warm clothing is provided, and you will have the opportunity to visit the kennel and the young puppies. Afterwards, a Sami meal will be served, with coffee and homemade cake, under a Sami tent. Return to Tromsø.

Day 3: Aurora Chase in the Lyngen Alps and overnight at the camp
Breakfast at the hotel and explore Tromsø at leisure. In the late afternoon, departure for a Northern Lights chase! A transfer of about 1.5 hours will take you to Camp Tamok. Due to its geographical location, Camp Tamok is an ideal place to watch the Northern Lights dance in the sky. Get your cameras ready! Appropriate clothing will be included.
Dinner and Accommodation at Camp Tamok in Aurora Chalet (shared bathroom facilities).

Day 4: Snowmobile and journey to Sommarøy
Breakfast at the camp. Then, it is time to hop on a snowmobile and explore this extraordinary environment. Two people per snowmobile, with the possibility to switch drivers during the excursion. Afterwards, return to Tromsø and depart for Sommarøy (transfer included).

Day 5: Discovery of the surrounding nature
Breakfast at the hotel and a free day. If you’re lucky, you might spot wild animals such as sea eagles. You can also add an activity, such as snowshoeing, skiing, or kayaking (not included).

- Day 6: Departure from Norway Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer (included) to the airport for your return flight.
